Horizon's Climate Change Practice Group can assist clients who are adopting sustainable business practices, or want to prepare for green house gas (GHG) reduction legislation which may be adopted in 2009. The Climate Change Practice Group offers assistance in the following areas:
• tracking federal legislation and regional initiatives on GHG reduction,
• quantifying GHG emissions,
• implementing energy management programs,
• acquiring GHG emission offsets,
• permitting the use of alternative fuels, and
• developing "Green Remediation Strategies", that is, considering environmental effects of alternative
remediation technologies and methods to minimize environmental impacts of cleanup actions.
Horizon is a Founding Reporter to The Climate Registry, a voluntary international GHG emissions reporting registry
