Leaking Underground Storage Tanks - Michigan's Part 213 of Act 451
Horizon is Qualified Underground Storage Tank Consultant (“QC”) in the State of Michigan. Our professional staff includes not less than five Certified Underground Storage Tank Professionals (“CPs”) who are able to provide the benefit of their extensive experience to deal with your Leaking Underground Storage Tank matters.
Releases from underground storage tanks in the State of Michigan are regulated under Part 213 of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act (“NREPA”). Horizon’s professionals have extensive experience in management of sites of environmental contamination under Part 213. In addition, much of the Part 213 regulatory framework is based on the risk assessment protocols and criteria established under Part 201 of NREPA. As such, Horizon’s geologists, risk assessment personnel and engineers can also bring to bear their experience with management of more complex sites of environmental contamination under Part 201 to your Part 213 site. This experience includes implementation of institutional and engineering controls to prevent exposure to environmental contaminants, thereby accomplishing limited closures, where appropriate, to reduce overall costs for site management.
