Environmental Justice
Horizon has worked with the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality regarding the Title VI requirements as it may affect environmental permits and licenses and the environmental justice initiative implemented by former President Clinton in 1994. Our Geographical Information Services department has used publicly available census data and mapping information to determine if an environmental justice area exists, according to U.S. EPA draft guidance.
