Phillis Rynne, P.E., Project Engineer, has 25 years of environmental and engineering experience. Prior to joining Horizon Environmental, she was employed by a specialty chemical distributor as their environmental manager and by a large eastern coal mining company in their Research and Development offices. She has completed Permit to Install (PTI) and Title V permit applications, written Emergency Response, SPCC and ICP plans, obtained water discharge permits, and worked with members of both state and Federal regulatory agencies on issues including regulatory compliance and permit negotiations. Ms. Rynne has experience in environmental regulations and compliance related to air, waste, water, and transport of hazardous chemicals, and in environmental and safety issues associated with plant-applicable OSHA regulations. Her clientele includes the automotive industry, appliance manufacturers, steel mills, refineries, electric power utilities, and general industry.
Ms. Rynne has a M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. She also has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Oakland University.
