Douglas S. Kilmer, P.G., Senior Project Geologist and Project Manager, has 17 years of environmental consulting experience, including significant experience in the transaction of industrial and commercial properties. His experience includes the design of numerous investigations to conduct due diligence activities and facilitate the redevelopment of brownfields. Mr. Kilmer is also responsible for conducting hydrogeologic investigations of hazardous material and petroleum releases. Most recently he completed the investigation of a multi-level leaking bedrock aquifer system in western Pennsylvania to support operation of a ground water extraction and treatment system. His experience also includes the completion of numerous near-surface and airborne geophysical surveys in support of environmental, engineering, and archeological projects. In addition, Mr. Kilmer has experience in the design of in situ and ex situ remediation strategies, as well as the use of risk-based corrective actions for petroleum, chlorinated solvent, and metal contaminated sites. He has conducted facility audits and inspections for various industrial facilities, including automobile parts manufacturers, aggregate companies, and machine and repair shops. Connected with these inspections, he has prepared SPCC, PIPP, SWPPP, and other plans and permit applications commonly necessary for the operation of industrial facilities. Mr. Kilmer is experienced in the interpretation and application of MDEQ Part 201 and Part 213 rules and Ohio EPA rules, including the Voluntary Action Program for Ohio brownfields. Mr. Kilmer is also knowledgeable of various Federal (RCRA, TSCA) and State environmental regulatory programs in Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.

Mr. Kilmer is a licensed Professional Geologist in North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Mr. Kilmer received a M.A. in Earth and Planetary Sciences (Emphasis in Geophysics and Remote Sensing) from Washington University, St. Louis, MO and a B.S. in Geology and Mineralogy from the Ohio State University.
